Hallo alle
Mein freund hat mir seinen laptop gegeben damit ich ihn for meinen freund formatiere.Es handelt sich um einen PII Gateway Solo Laptop, mit einem external CD-rom.Ich habe ein win98 start-up disk benutzt um den laptop zu starten, dan hab ich das hard-disk formatiert.
Hier kommt das problem ===>>
Das external CD-Rom is durch einen parrallel port zum laptop verbunden. Die start-up disk sagt "Your CD-ROM is assigned to letter drive F:". Hier is was ich mach
A:\>cd F:
F:\>dir
F:\>device not ready
(a)bort (i)gnore (r)etry
So I cant access the hard disk

I try it....

if you formating a harddisc(the only one you have)

the command is:

> format c: /s <

the parameter > /s < means....the DOS groundsystem files will be copied to the root of c:....!

after this you can start the setup.
