Druck ging immer problemlos, aber die Bildschirm-Anzeige ist tricky. Auf die Lösung gebracht hat mich die Readme-Datei des ATM: Sieht so aus, dass Font Smoothing nur bei TT-Schriften wirksam wird und es für PS-Schriften den ATM ach für Windows 2000 braucht:

When font smoothing (i.e., anti-aliasing) is enabled, ATM uses gradient shades between the color of the font and the background color to smooth the edges of PostScript fonts. Font smoothing (i.e., black and colored text on backgrounds of various colors) is only possible when used on 16-bit or higher color displays.
You turn font smoothing on in the Plus! Tab of the Display Control Panel. When font smoothing is enabled, Windows anti-aliases TrueType fonts. ATM anti-aliases PostScript fonts.
