Ich habe überhaupt nichts gegen zippen. Ich zippe auch täglich, aber nur wenn ein PC im Spiel ist. Nicht von Mac zu Mac. Da ist Stuffit immer der bessere Weg. Und zwar ist auf OSX das Mac-Binary Format (Datei-Endung: .bin) dem Binhex (Datei-Endung: .hqx) vorzuziehen. Auf OS9 würde ich Binhex wählen.
